In the Mogilev region, young specialists of the agro-industrial complex after the intervention of trade unions returned more than 3,000.

More than 3,000 were returned to young specialists in the agro-industrial complex of the Mogilev region after trade union monitoring. This was told to the correspondent of sb.by in the Mogilev regional association of trade unions.

In the third quarter of this year, labor inspector Elena Martynovich conducted public control over compliance with labor guarantees for young specialists in the organizations of the agro-industrial complex of the region. In most cases, violations were not detected, some shortcomings were recorded in only three organizations.

The state has fixed a number of guarantees for young specialists coming to work in rural areas: lump-sum benefits for moving and hiring, special tax deductions. However, as the monitoring showed, employers do not always remember their obligations.

In the agricultural organization of Mstislav district, three young workers who have just started their duties did not receive the necessary financial assistance when hiring in the amount of the tariff rate. And the company's accounting department did not apply a standard tax deduction for young professionals, which caused employees to lose part of their salaries every month. After the intervention of the legal inspector, the employer admitted the mistake. According to the results of the recalculation, young people were paid more than а 2 thousand.

Elena Martynovich notes:

- Often, violations occur not due to the malicious intent of the employer, but due to inattention or ignorance of the subtleties of labor legislation.

A similar fact was found in the Shklov district. Here, two young specialists also did not apply a tax deduction, and when moving to their place of work they were not paid a lump sum allowance. The result of the audit is the recalculation of income tax and the payment of compensation for a total amount of more than ого 1 thousand.

Thanks to the timely intervention of trade union inspectors, justice was restored, young specialists received legal payments. Trade unions will continue to work to protect the labor guarantees of young people.
