The interior Ministry warned about the scheme of fraudsters with the design of a virtual card

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, fraudulent schemes are gaining popularity in the network, in which attackers promise to issue a virtual foreign bank card to pay for foreign services and purchases.

For such a "service" they require not only money, but also copies of the passport, bank details and other personal data. The department warns that the transfer of such information can result in theft of funds from accounts, registration of loans or the use of documents in fraudulent schemes.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs advises not to send passport data to strangers, not to report bank card details and confirmation codes, and to verify information only through official sources.

Earlier it was reported that in Moscow fraudsters cheated 81-year-old pensioner 19.5 million rubles.
