In Novgorod stores in September became cheaper “borscht set of products”

Annual inflation in September 2026 in our region has not changed. It is still 6.98%, the press service of the Novgorod Region Branch of the North-Western Main Directorate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation reported.

According to the head of the economic department of the Novgorod region of the Bank of Russia Evgeny Dolgikh, in September, compared to August, in Novgorod stores cheaper “borschka set” — carrots, beets, potatoes, cabbage, onions. Also, due to the seasonal increase in supply, the price of apples and pears decreased. And in chain stores last month held promotions for tea, coffee, cocoa and some other products.

But equipment and electronics, on the contrary, became more expensive due to fluctuations in the ruble exchange rate. Cars also rose in price - in this case, the price change was affected by the rush demand in anticipation of an increase in the utilization fee.

Prices for cultural leisure have also increased. The theaters raised the cost of tickets to cover the accumulated costs of repairing the premises and paying employees.
