In St. Petersburg began to build an auxiliary working bridge across the Neva. It will ensure the construction of the main divorce crossing as part of the SMD. This is reported by the press service of Smolny.

The highway will connect St. Petersburg with the routes of the Leningrad region and unload the city from transit. Together with the KAD and WSD, it will provide continuous high-speed traffic. The working bridge is a temporary structure for the entrance of heavy equipment and protection of supports from ice.

First, in the bottom of the Neva by vibration immersion, piles are installed, then sections of the span are mounted. Such bridges are built from two banks without connecting to leave a navigable fairway.

The immersion of the rod fence on the left bank support has already begun. Ahead of another 1170 drill piles, 160 thousand cubic meters of concrete and 16 thousand tons of metal structures.
