Care for the elderly and disabled will need to be confirmed once a year
From 2027, the procedure for confirming the length of service for caring for the elderly and people with disabilities will change

From 2027, the procedure for confirming the length of service for caring for the elderly and people with disabilities will change. This was reported by the press service of the OSFR for the Arkhangelsk region and the NAO.
Periods of care for people over 80 years of age and disabled people of group I are included in the insurance period upon application. According to the current rules, it must be submitted to the regional office of the FIU after the withdrawal is completed. From next year, such periods will need to be reported before they begin.
When applying to the Social Fund, you will also need a statement of consent to supervision from the most disabled person or his legal representative. Now it is applied only if the caregiver and his ward live separately.
- Long-term care will need to be confirmed once a year. This can be done by applying for continued care before the expiration of 12 months from the month of the previous application. It is not necessary to issue a second consent from the ward, said Nikolai Dedyurin, the manager of the SFR branch in the Arkhangelsk region and the NAO.
The current procedure for confirming periods of withdrawal continues until the end of 2026. Care, which was carried out this year or earlier, must be recorded during 2027, so that it was taken into account when assigning a pension. Starting from 2028, it will be impossible to confirm the periods of withdrawal that were before 2027.
From next year, applications for withdrawal and consent to it will be accepted not only in the client services of the SFR branch, but also in electronic form on the public services portal, as well as through the MFC.
Periods of care for people 80 years and older and disabled people of group I are included in the total insurance period and increase pension coefficients. A full year of care gives 1.8 coefficients and a year of experience. In the “northern” period such periods are not included.
