In the area of Buryatia, the court ordered to restore the forest on an area of five hectares

In Buryatia, the court satisfied the claim of the prosecutor's office of the Bichur district, which demanded to carry out reforestation work on the territory of the Kiretsky district forestry, which suffered from the fire.

An inspection of the prosecutor's office showed that mandatory measures to restore the forest on this site were not carried out. According to the supervisory authority, inaction can lead to the degradation of the forest fund and violate the right of citizens to a favorable environment.

The district prosecutor appealed to the court with a demand to oblige the authorized body to restore the forest on an area of five hectares. The court upheld the prosecutor's demands.

The decision has not yet entered into legal force. The prosecutor’s office monitors the elimination of violations.
