The health service of Belarus named the most advanced projects to promote a healthy lifestyle

Today, the prevention of a healthy lifestyle is not only lectures and information stands. In the regions, interactive formats, practical exercises, games, corporate initiatives and special preventive platforms are increasingly used. Examples were given in the Republican Center for Hygiene, Epidemiology and Public Health (RCGEIH), writes sb.by.

The center said:

- In the Brest region there are centers of visual prevention and field anti-drug sites. With teenagers, they analyze myths and real facts, conduct resilience trainings and teach the skills of refusing psychoactive substances. In the Vitebsk region, the Vector for Health project combines thematic evenings, trainings, discussions and practical classes. In the Mogilev region, the prevention of smoking and vaping was made interactive. Students participate in trainings, business games and thematic events. In Grodno region, fifth-graders pass their “health road”: through games, creativity and practical tasks, they deal with issues of nutrition, stress, emotions, bad habits and the use of digital devices. In the Gomel region, children not only receive information, but also learn how to wash their hands properly. For classes, even a mobile washer "Moydodyr" is used.

Prevention is gradually coming to the workplace, noted in the RCGEIOZ. Thus, in the Minsk region, employees of enterprises and organizations participate in walks, actions “To work by bicycle”, “Healthy snack” and other events within the framework of the “0-5-30” initiative. In Zhodino, the project “Healthy Workplace – Healthy Enterprise” is being implemented, which combines preventive examinations, risk assessment and individual counseling of employees. And at the Mogilev Elevator Engineering Plant, a multi-year employee health preservation program has been developed, including preventive examinations, risk assessment, support for quitting tobacco and nicotine-containing products, physical activity, rational nutrition and prevention of burnout.

Specialists added a separate direction – digital prevention. In particular, in Minsk, within the framework of the project "Your Choice!" for children and adolescents, social networks, chats, videos, competitions and other formats familiar to young people are used.

- One approach unites these projects: prevention becomes not just an information, but an opportunity to participate, try, discuss, test your knowledge and form real skills that can be used in everyday life.
