In Saransk, a new building of the republican oncology dispensary continues to be built. The construction is expected to be completed in December 2027. The facility is now more than 60 percent complete, Mordovia authorities said.
The eight-story building is designed for 276 beds. It equips diagnostic rooms, an operating unit and intensive care, as well as departments for patients with various cancers. The rooms have their own bathrooms and showers.
Special attention was paid to the accessibility of the building: the project includes elevators, ramps, handrails and specially equipped rooms for people with limited mobility. Parking, lighting and green areas will be arranged on the adjacent territory, and the necessary engineering equipment will be installed for the smooth operation of medical institutions.
Now on the site are finishing and exterior work, in parallel connect the equipment. After the construction is completed, the medical institution will have additional opportunities for diagnosis and treatment of patients. The new building should be an important stage in the renewal of the oncological service of the region.
