At the parade ground of the Smolensk branch of NRU MEI, a solemn ceremony of awarding officer epaulets to the second edition of the Air Force Department took place. While waiting for the start of the event, there was a noticeable excitement among those present, including parents.
Graduates who passed rigorous selection nearly three years ago have officially become reserve officers. They received qualifications in the field of operation and repair of aircraft, helicopters and engines, as well as aviation and radio electronic equipment.
The path from student to lieutenant was not easy: it included combat training, studying matchmaking, taking the oath, passing training camps and successful final certification.
During the celebration, the director of the branch Alexander Fedulov addressed the young officers with a parting speech. Also, words of support to graduates of the Air Force Department were spoken by the rector of the Church of St. Mts. Tatiana's father Dmitry Litvishchenko.
