In Sochi on the initiative of Zatulin launched the process of restoring Tsereteli mosaics

In the administration of Sochi, the first meeting of the working group on the restoration of the mosaic ensemble of Zurab Tsereteli in the resort town of Adler was held.

According to the publication “Yugopolis”, the reason for the meeting was the appeal of residents to the State Duma Deputy Konstantin Zatulin during the reception of citizens at the beginning of the week. Public activists reported delays in resolving the issue of restoring mosaic sculptures by Zurab Tsereteli.

A working group on this issue was created in the summer following a meeting between the head of Sochi Andrey Prosuknin and the president of the Russian Academy of Arts Vasily Tsereteli, the heir to the famous sculptor. However, no meeting has been held since its formation. At the same time, representatives of the public who took the initiative to restore the ensemble were not included in the group.

Zatulin called the delay in the process unacceptable and demanded to organize the first meeting with the mandatory participation of public activists.

Deputy Director of the Department of Investments and Strategic Development of the Sochi Administration Vadim Finashin promised to hold a meeting before the end of the week. The meeting was held on Thursday with the personal participation of the Deputy.

One of the key issues of the meeting was the settlement of land and property relations in the territory of the mosaic ensemble.

According to the Deputy head of Sochi Evgeny Chebotarev, the administration has begun putting previously ownerless objects on cadastral registration and their registration in municipal ownership.

According to the Deputy Director of the Department of property relations Ruslan Kartashov, of the seven elements of the mosaic ensemble “Rybki” on the account put five. Registration of the remaining two is expected to be completed soon. A similar procedure will be carried out with respect to the elements of the mosaic composition “Coral”.

In parallel, the legal services of the administration are preparing claims regarding illegal buildings that appeared in the immediate vicinity of the ensemble over the past decades.

President of the Russian Academy of Arts Vasily Tsereteli presented the participants of the meeting the results of the competition for the development of the concept of the Zurab Tsereteli Park complex in Adler Resort Town.

He also proposed to invite to the next meeting of the working group representatives of Adlerkurort and organizations whose facilities border the territory of the mosaic ensemble.

According to Evgeny Chebotarev, after the settlement of land and property issues, the Sochi administration together with the Russian Academy of Arts will begin to determine the list of necessary restoration and restoration works.

The next stage will be the development of a project of integrated development of the territory. On its basis, the city authorities expect to apply for federal funding.

Further implementation of the project will depend on the completion of the design of objects, the resolution of legal issues and the preparation of project documentation.
