The administration of Tula on October 28 signed a decree that amends the current standards for wastewater disposal

The administration of the city of Tula on October 28 signed a decree that amends the current standards for wastewater disposal.
The new standards will regulate the operation of treatment plants in several technological zones of the city: (a) Shatsk settlement; (b) Leninsky village 1; (c) Barsuki village; (d) Rozhdestvensky village; (e) Inshinsky village; (e) Khomyakovo village; (g) West village.
The changes concern the maximum permissible concentrations of various substances in wastewater, including suspended substances, BOD (biochemical oxygen consumption), COD (chemical oxygen consumption), petroleum products, various ions (chloride, sulfate, ammonium), phosphates, iron, APAV (anionic surfactants).
The document enters into force on November 1, 2026. All changes are aimed at improving the efficiency of treatment plants and improving the quality of wastewater treatment.
Control over compliance with the new standards will be carried out in accordance with the federal legislation on water supply and sanitation. Information about the decision will be published on the official website of the city administration.
We will remind, earlier "MK in Tula" wrote that in the Tula region there is not a single large river that would not need to improve water quality.
