In Ulyanovsk from March to October 2026, 35 abandoned cars were sent to a specialized parking lot. Another 64 vehicles are being prepared for evacuation. Their owners are offered to remove the cars themselves to avoid additional costs.
According to the head of the city administration of administrative and technical control Sergey Klopkov, of the 35 evacuated cars 12 have already returned to the owners. To do this, the owners had to reimburse the costs of transport and storage.
Currently, experts are preparing for the export of another 64 cars, which are long-term in urban areas. Before the evacuation, owners can independently move cars to permitted parking places.
The head of Ulyanovsk Alexander Boldakin instructed to continue the identification of abandoned, ownerless and unmanaged vehicles.
According to the mayor, appeals for such cars regularly come from residents. Cars can stay for months in the courtyards of residential buildings, along the roadway and in other public areas.
Such transport creates obstacles for the movement of cars and pedestrians, and also complicates the work of utilities. In addition, unattended and partially dismantled cars can pose a danger to children.
To solve the problem, city services establish car owners and take measures to liberate the occupied territories.
Alexander Boldakin gave a separate order to combat parking on lawns. Monitoring of compliance with the rules of transport placement in green areas is also planned to continue.
