In the Central Park of Volgograd, specialists have completed the installation of equipment on all six fountains of the future ensemble. The facilities have installed nozzles, pump groups, lighting systems and other elements necessary to create light and musical performances using water, live fire, lasers and artificial fog. Currently, the contractor, together with the engineers of the manufacturer, has started installing equipment in two technical rooms, from where the entire complex will be managed.
The work was carried out in stages: first, the specialists completed the installation on five small fountains, after which they focused on the largest object - the central oval fountain with an area of 1100 square meters. Installed injectors and pump groups will allow you to create a variety of water compositions, including powerful emissions, fan curtains and synchronous jet effects. All fountains will work in concert, combining water compositions, light and music into a single performance.
“Completion of the installation of equipment on the fountains is an important stage in the construction of the complex,” said the director of Central Park. Now, experts have begun installing control systems that will combine all six fountains into a single ensemble. In the future, it will be necessary to configure the joint operation of the equipment so that the water jets, illumination and other special effects act synchronously in accordance with the program scenario.”.
Workers are now installing equipment in two technical rooms and mounting power grids leading from control cabinets to facilities. After the completion of these works, specialists will proceed to configure and check the interaction of all elements of the complex.
Russian and Chinese specialists are involved in the construction. Together with employees of the Volgograd contractor organization, engineers of the manufacturer work at the site, who help install high-tech equipment, advise on technical issues and supervise the installation.
In parallel, the improvement of the adjacent territory with an area of 6000 square meters continues. It is planned to equip more than 4300 square meters of walking areas with pedestrian paths, stairs, descents for people with limited mobility and places for recreation. Particular attention will be paid to landscaping: flower beds, ornamental plants and large-scale deciduous trees will appear near the fountains – more than 500 plants in total.
One of the central elements of the new space will be an amphitheater with a capacity of up to 1,500 spectators, which will be located next to the largest oval fountain. From here, visitors will be able to watch the light and musical performances and evening illumination of the 120-meter Ferris wheel “Star of Stalingrad”.
The project of construction of the fountain ensemble received the support of the Government of the Russian Federation.
