In the Yaroslavl region, a crippled motorcyclist recovered 1.5 million rubles from a motorist

Surgeon Tutaev CRB will receive 1,500,000 rubles of compensation for the leg lost in an accident. This decision was made by the Yaroslavl Regional Court.

The accident itself occurred in the early morning of August 7 in Tutaev, on one of the central streets of the city. The CRS surgeon rushed to work on a motorcycle, strictly following the rules. But at one of the intersections, he was severely clipped by an auto lady, not giving way. As a result of the accident, the man received numerous injuries. Contusions, broken ribs. The most severe was traumatic leg amputation. The victim was taken to hospital. Doctors, having examined the injury, realized that it would not work to save the leg. The victim had his leg and leg removed.

The victim had to undergo prolonged painful treatment, endure pain from amputation, broken ribs, abrasions and bruises. For a long time he learned to walk with a prosthesis. I had to forget about motorcycles. The surgeon went to work, to the delight of the patients. They can no longer perform long-term operations. Because standing on the prosthesis causes pain.

Guilty in the accident was recognized in court by the motorist who did not give way to the motorcyclist.

The victim filed a lawsuit for damages. His suffering and loss he estimated at 10 million rubles. Tutaevsky district court, having considered the claim, recognized that the demand for payment is justified, but reduced the amount of payment by more than 10 times. the court took into account the income of the defendant, who submitted a certificate that she earns 60 thousand rubles a month. As well as the conclusion of the guardianship authority on the possibility of temporary transfer of the child to her family from 12.09.2025. 800,000 rubles were assigned to the payment.

Representatives of the victim challenged the decision. The regional court increased the payment almost twice.

“The court of first instance, evaluating the property status of the defendant, did not take into account that the defendant has no dependents, custody was not issued, there is no information about the difficult financial situation of the defendant,” the decision of the regional court said.

The judicial panel found the arguments of the appeal on the inconsistency of the amount of compensation for moral damage caused as a result of damage to the plaintiff's health consequences justified.

According to the decision of the appellate instance, an inattentive motorist will pay the victim 1,500,000 rubles.
