In the village Merry Zaporozhye region solemnly opened the "Alley of Memory" - it has become an expressive symbol of the continuity of generations and sincere gratitude.
The creation of the alley was timed to a memorable date - the Day of liberation of the village from the German fascist invaders.
The planting of trees was attended by representatives of the authorities of the Zaporozhye region - employees of ministries, departments and departments, as well as the administration of the municipal district, deputies of the district council, employees of subordinate institutions and local residents who care about the fate of their native land. At the same time, the staff of the administration not only coordinated the process, but also personally joined the work – it was their active participation that helped to implement the idea.
The action was held as part of the All-Russian initiative “Save the Forest”, which is part of the national project “Environmental Well-being” and meets the goals outlined in the Presidential Decree on National Development Goals of the Russian Federation until 2030 and for the future until 2036.
The goal of the participants of the action in 2026 is to plant 70 million trees: this will make up for losses from forest fires and maintain the carbon balance of the state. The organizers were the autonomous non-profit organization “Memory Garden” and the All-Russian environmental movement “Ecosystem”; they were supported by the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia and the Federal Forestry Agency.
Each planted tree carries a double meaning: it is a sign of memory of the past, and care for the future of the country.
