The party in Suzdal ended in a criminal case

The Suzdal district court is beginning to consider a criminal case against a 19-year-old local resident.

According to the preliminary investigation, in April the accused was visiting a friend, where together with the company drank alcoholic beverages. Taking advantage of the fact that the guests were distracted, the girl noticed a mobile phone left unattended.

Acting intentionally, she extracted a SIM card from the device, installed it in her device and gained access to the personal account of the victim’s mobile bank. Using confidential data of the owner, the attacker transferred money from the friend’s account to his own account.

A criminal case was initiated on the grounds of crimes provided for in paragraph 3 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (theft from a bank account) and the corresponding article for illegal access to computer information.

The indictment was approved, the materials were sent to court. The sanction of the incriminated article provides for punishment up to imprisonment.
