Villa for $70 million: the creator of Minecraft decided to sell the mansion
Swedish programmer Marcus Persson, creator of Minecraft, put up for sale a mansion in Beverly Hills for $ 70 million

Swedish programmer Marcus Persson, creator of Minecraft, put up for sale a mansion in Beverly Hills for $ 70 million. In 2014, he bought the property for the same amount, ahead of singer Beyonce and rapper Jay-Z. This is reported by The Wall Street Journal, citing representatives of the object.
According to agent Aaron Kirman of Christie’s International Real Estate Southern California, Persson has rarely appeared in Los Angeles lately and intends to get rid of the property. The developer did not respond to the publication's request for reasons for the sale.
The mansion is located in the prestigious area of Truzdale Estates. Its area is about 2.1 thousand square meters. The house is equipped with eight bedrooms and two swimming pools, one of which is located near the main bedroom. The windows overlook downtown Los Angeles and the Pacific Ocean.
After acquiring the property, Persson invested several million dollars in the creation of a recording studio. In addition, the mansion has its own nightclub with a bar, dance floor and equipment for a DJ.
According to agent Branden Williams of The Beverly Hills Estates, the programmer regularly arranged receptions and invited famous musicians to work in his studio.
The mansion was built by developer Bruce Makowski initially for subsequent sale, and not for a specific customer.
In recent years, the Los Angeles market has seen a plethora of even larger and more expensive properties. Kirman notes that demand in the segment of luxury real estate in the United States has become less active. According to him, when determining the value, sellers are now forced to focus on the market situation, and not on the desired price.
