In Vladimir honored the memory of police officers who died in the line of duty

The funeral service in the Holy Assumption Cathedral on November 6, 2026 was performed by Metropolitan Nikandr of Vladimir and Suzdal. Remembrance Day is celebrated on November 8, but this time it fell on Sunday, so the service was held in advance. In addition, the service was held on the eve of a professional holiday - the Day of the employee of the internal affairs bodies, which is celebrated on November 10.

Together with the head of the Vladimir Metropolia, the Secretary of the Diocesan Administration, Priest Nikolai Goyuk, the clerk of the Cathedral, Priest Vasily Vilchu, the head of the diocesan department for interaction with the Armed Forces and law enforcement agencies, Priest Alexander Nikitin and the clergy of the Cathedral prayed. The memorial service was attended by the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Vladimir region, police major-general Igor Beletsky, current employees and veterans of the internal affairs bodies. To honor the memory of the victims came their relatives from different parts of the region, including mothers, widows and sisters.

Serving in the internal affairs bodies requires courage and involves a risk to life. In different years, 82 employees of the internal affairs bodies of the Vladimir region died in the line of duty.
