In the Vladimir region, the father of many children has accumulated alimony for 6 million rubles

Vyaznikovsky district court has issued a conviction in a criminal case against a local resident accused of repeatedly failing to pay funds for the maintenance of children.

It was established that the defendant was deprived of parental rights in respect of four minor children with simultaneous recovery of alimony. Being able to work and reliably knowing about the existence of a court decision, the man deliberately evaded payments without good reason for a long time.

According to the materials of the case, the total amount of debt as of July 29, 2026 amounted to 6,005,335 rubles 70 kopecks.

The actions of a man are qualified under Part 1 of Art. 157 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Failure by a parent without good reason in violation of a court decision to pay for the maintenance of minor children, if this act is committed repeatedly”).

Taking into account the confession of guilt of the defendant, the court sentenced him to 11 months of forced labor withholding 10% of wages to the state. The sentence has not entered into force.
