Students of East Siberian State University of Technology and Management learn free methods of creating working business plans, testing ideas and preparing for the first conversations with funding. According to the press service of the university, more than 60 participants attended the trainings on the first day.
The training program combines the theoretical base with proven skills. In one day, teams find common ground, generate startup concepts, distribute functions, clarify audience expectations through conversations and write growth strategies, and then share developments with experts and future financiers. The initiative involves passing an online test on the entrepreneurial mindset, forming a portrait of competencies and discussing the contribution of participants.
At the start stage, eight teams were formed, which demonstrated projects in the areas of IT, trade, healthcare and service. The winners were determined by the captains by voting on indicators such as creativity, activity and cohesion.
After such training, graduates will be able to get into practice in a startup studio, where, under the guidance of mentors, they will create their own business project with access to external investments. The experience of the previous year proved that students are able to create working startups and raise funds.
Seminars were held by TOSU, VSSUTU, MIPT and the Ministry of Science of Russia with the support of the federal project “University Technological Entrepreneurship Platform”. They became part of the second festival of student science “SciAutumn – Science Marathon – Architects of the Future”, which is part of the Priority 2030 program and implemented within the framework of the Open Science direction.
