Water does not tolerate carelessness: OSVOD reminded about the safety of water bodies in the cold season

Minsk city organization OSVOD has strengthened preventive work aimed at preventing accidents on water bodies in the autumn-winter period. Paying special attention to schoolchildren, employees of enterprises and lovers of fishing, BelTA writes.

During the autumn holidays, excursions to the museum of MnGO OSVOD are organized for students. Children are told about the rules of behavior near the water in the cold season, they are introduced to diving equipment, boats, boats and other boats. On special dummies, students learn the basics of first aid, and interactive tasks help to consolidate the knowledge gained.

Preventive meetings are also held in labor collectives of enterprises and organizations of the capital, schools, gymnasiums and colleges. Experts explain how to behave near water bodies, what to do when falling under the ice and how to provide first aid to the victim.

Classes are built in the format of a dialogue: participants analyze possible emergencies, ask questions and work out algorithms of actions. Video materials and practical tasks are used for schoolchildren and students, and teachers and employees of enterprises are provided with methodological reminders for further preventive work.

A separate direction is patrolling water bodies. Now the raids of MnGO OSVOD are focused primarily on places of mass fishing. Participants of patrols talk to fishermen, remind them of safety rules, check the presence of life jackets and means of rescue. Fishermen are also given instructions on safe behaviour.

OSVOD reminds: in the cold season, even the usual rest at the reservoir can be associated with a serious risk. Compliance with safety rules and caution help prevent tragedies.
