Volgograd residents warned about identified phishing sites
Kaspersky Lab experts discovered fraudulent resources that use the topic of the 2026 State Duma elections to steal personal data

In the first scheme, users are offered to pass an allegedly independent anonymous pre-election poll of 6 questions. For participation promise a chance to win one of more than 100 prizes: smartphones, gift certificates of popular marketplaces, cash rewards.
After answering the questions, the victim is asked to register through a popular messenger – allegedly to participate in the draw. To do this, you need to enter a name, phone number and confirm registration with a code. It is the code that gives scammers access to the victim’s account. In the future, the compromised account can be used in other schemes.
In the second scenario, the user is asked to enter a series and passport number or SNILS to allegedly vote online. Then a message appears on the page that his account on the state service was allegedly hacked, and it is suggested to wait for the call of the employee. Thus, fraudsters transfer the scheme from the Internet to a telephone conversation: after contacting a person, they continue deception under the pretext of protecting his account.
“Attackers regularly use the current agenda and socially significant events in fraudulent schemes that attract the attention of a large number of people,” Kaspersky Lab commented. In one case, a person is attracted by the opportunity to receive a prize and led to authorization in the messenger, in another they are offered to allegedly vote online, and then report an account hack and transfer communication to a telephone conversation. Artificial intelligence was used to create the second site template discovered – generative tools simplify and accelerate the creation of content for such schemes.”.
Experts remind that the convincing design of the page does not in itself indicate its legitimacy. Before entering personal data, you should carefully check the address of the resource.
