the tummy was removed radically, so no additional treatment was required

In the Voronezh Cancer Center, a 57-year-old woman was operated on, in which a breast tumor spread to the rib. This was reported in the regional Ministry of health on Tuesday, October 27.
The patient has already faced cancer: four years ago she was treated for breast cancer, including gland removal and hormone therapy. After treatment, she was examined every six months, and the disease was in remission. The woman later noticed a lump in her chest. The examination showed that the neoplasm grew into the periosteum and intercostal nerves. Because of this, the patient experienced a pronounced pain syndrome, which was not removed by conventional painkillers.
Surgeons removed part of the second rib along with metastasis, retreating within healthy tissue. The tumor was removed radically, so no additional treatment was required. The woman was discharged in satisfactory condition, ahead of her rehabilitation.
