In September 2026, the football club of Russian pop stars "Starko" celebrated its 35th anniversary with a large-scale holiday in Moscow, where the premiere of a new anthem and video "Live on" with the participation of dozens of artists took place.
In early September 2026, celebrations dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the legendary football club of Russian pop stars Starko were held in Moscow. The main venue was the legendary Igor Sandler Production Center, where artists, musicians, team veterans and representatives of the music industry gathered to recall the history of the club and celebrate its contribution to the cultural life of the country. It was here, not by chance, that the long-awaited premiere of the new anthem and video “Live on”, which in its scale and spirit was immediately compared with the cult composition “Closing the Circle” of the late 1980s, took place.
The festive evening was opened by the legendary musician and producer Igor Sandler and the president of the football club, the head of the Architects group Yuri Davydov, who said that Starko was created in 1991 with the exact filing of Igor Sandler and for 35 years united many stars of Russian pop and sports. This evening, the artists performed both new and iconic songs for the club, and the culmination was the premiere of the video “Live on” on the big screen. 36 artists took part in the recording of the track, and 48 media personalities starred in the filming of the clip, including Mikhail Boyarsky, Dmitry Kharatyan, Sergey Krylov, Mikhail Muromov, Valery Syutkin, Vladimir Presnyakov, the group “Umaturman” and many others. A special place in the video was occupied by archival footage and photos of the departed artists “animated” with the help of neural networks, which created the effect of unity of generations and emphasized the continuity of the club’s traditions.
During the evening there were sincere words and memories. Yuri Davydov said: I am very happy to take part in the Starko team. We've been together for years. This is an important page in my and our common life.” He stressed that the idea of the new video is to “perpetuate the team by recording and filming the song “Live on!” similar to the acclaimed video “Closing the Circle” . Sergey Krylov, known for his sense of humor, recalled: “In 1994 he became the worst football player in the world.” One day I was brought down to the second half by helicopter. This is for you to understand what Starko is.
The celebration continued with a banquet and informal chat, where veterans and young artists shared stories, congratulated each other and discussed plans for the future. According to the organizers, “Live on” is not just a musical congratulations, but an emotional manifesto that true friendship, creativity and love of life are timeless.
The 35th anniversary of Starko became not only an occasion for the meeting of several generations of artists, but also a symbol of the stability of creative and human ties in the Russian show business. The new anthem and video, which brought together dozens of stars, confirm that the club continues to live and inspire, and its traditions of charity and cultural unity resonate with a wide audience. In the coming months, it is expected that “Live on” will become an integral part of concert programs and charity events of the club, and Starko itself will retain the status of a unique phenomenon at the intersection of sports and art.
