As told in the government of the republic, Karelian businessman Andrei Koleda in cooperation with the authorities builds a modern complex on the territory of the former industrial facility, in parallel implementing a program for resettlement of emergency housing.
At the moment, guests and residents of the region already have access to the restaurant of the Ladoga chain and an open-air cinema. Also on the territory there are pedestrian paths and observation decks. By the beginning of the winter tourist season, the Linnavaara Park Hotel will open its doors.
The development of the territory will continue: there will be roads for transport, pedestrian alleys with lighting, additional observation decks and information stands. The venue will work in a year-round format and will become a platform for mass events.
According to Andrei Koleda, the main task of the project is to “revive” the quarry and show guests how the mining industry works. As the investor noted, installations will be created so that both adults and children can see how quarrying equipment works, in general, how the mining industry is arranged from the inside. This should add a new tourist facet to our republic.
