How and when the quality of mobile Internet in Belarusian trains and on highways will be improved, the Minister of Communications and Informatization of Belarus Kirill Zalessky said on the air of the First Information Channel. It's from sb.by.

- In some sparsely populated areas there may be “white spots” and communication interruptions. It should be noted that mobile communication is a complex of expensive and technically complex measures. To each base station it is necessary to bring fiber optic, radio relay communication, power supply. This is often related to land use and other issues. We are working on separate solutions in this part, starting with the M-class roads. On certain issues, we interact with the Belarusian Railways to ensure communication within trains, the minister said.
Kirill Zalessky stressed that the department sees all the complaints of users, and added:
- We try to respond to them as quickly as possible. But given the complexity and expensive equipment, it takes some time to realize all our plans.
According to the results of a social survey conducted in July - August 2026 by the Institute of Sociology of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus commissioned by BISI, 59.4% of respondents generally positively assess the quality of mobile Internet, of which 18.7% answered that everything loads quickly and problems do not arise, and another 40.7% indicated that there are rare failures. One in three respondents reported problems with connection speed and stability. Thus, 24.9% of respondents said that the speed periodically drops, which causes irritation, and 8.4% characterized the connection as follows: constant breaks and low speed – it is impossible to use. More often, dissatisfaction with the quality of mobile Internet is expressed by young people and rural residents.
