As part of a working visit to the Smolensk region, Deputy Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Evgenia Kotova visited the children's polyclinic department No. 8, located in the Korolevka microdistrict. This institution was built as part of the national project “Long and active life”.
The clinic consists of 11 pediatric sites and serves more than 9 thousand young patients. In addition, narrow specialists work here - otorhinolaryngologist, ophthalmologist, orthopedic traumatologist, pediatric endocrinologist, cardiologist and obstetrician-gynecologist. On the basis of the polyclinic there are a Children’s Health Center and a school for patients with diabetes.
After examining the offices, the deputy minister noted the high level of medical care organization. She stressed that the clinic is fully staffed by pediatricians and equipped with modern equipment. She paid special attention to modern design and comfort, which create favorable conditions for taking care of the health of children.
Kotova said that the visit to this medical institution clearly demonstrates the attention that the state pays to the development of primary health care for both adults and children. Governor of the Smolensk region Vasily Anokhin noted that the development of the regional health care system is a key priority of the region. He thanked President Vladimir Putin and the Russian government for supporting projects to upgrade medical facilities, such as the construction of a new building of the regional children's hospital and the renovation of maternity wards.
