Residents of Komi warned of fraud under the guise of roof repairs

Owners of private houses in Komi can lose money by agreeing to the services of pseudo-specialists to inspect the roof. Scammers offer to prepare the roof and gutters for the winter at an attractive price, but after receiving an advance payment disappear.

The new scheme of deception was reported in the press service of the platform “Moshelivka” of the Popular Front. Attackers call the owners of suburban real estate and offer inexpensive inspection of the roof, drainage system and territory near the house. To speed up the decision, they refer to the approaching snowfall and the need to urgently complete the work.

After agreeing to the service, fraudsters require an advance payment. They attribute this to the cost of purchasing materials or renting special equipment. As soon as the money comes to the account, the false performers stop answering calls and block the customer.

In "Moshelovka" it is recommended to contact only trusted organizations with a good reputation and not to transfer money to personal bank cards to unfamiliar private masters. Pay for services is advised after the actual completion of work and verification of their quality.
