Residents of Saransk told about the possibility of a new coronavirus

Residents of Saransk were informed that no cases of infection with a new version of the coronavirus have been detected in Russia. Experts continue to monitor the epidemiological situation.

The new strain is called “saltation” due to a sharp jump in mutations. It can spread faster than its predecessors, but data on a more severe course of the disease is not yet available.

Among the symptoms are severe sore throat when swallowing, discomfort in the neck and sudden weakness. In general, the disease proceeds as a normal SARS.
