The previous contract was calculated until 2028. According to the head of the RFEF, the new contract Luis de la Fuente will enter “the top ten in terms of financial conditions”.
The 65-year-old has been leading the team since December 2022. Under his leadership, the Spaniards won the World Championships (2026) and the European Championships (2024), as well as the winners of the League of Nations (2023). In addition, they set a record for the duration of a winless series among national teams - 38 matches.
