Juan Diaz resigned as head coach of the Moscow football club “Rodina”. The resignation of the Spaniard is reported in the Telegram channel of the team.

“Homeland thanks Juan Diaz and his staff for their dedication, emotions, sincerity and wishes success in his future career,” the statement said. It is noted that Barsegh Kirakosyan will temporarily act as head coach. His assistants are Alexander Dimidko and Egor Novosadov.

The resignation of 48-year-old Juan Diaz was the first in the current season of the Russian Premier League (RPL). After nine rounds, Homeland with five points takes the penultimate, 15th place in the standings.

The Spanish specialist has headed the club since September 2025. Under his leadership, the team last season became the winner of the First League - the second strongest Russian division - and entered the RPL. Previously, Juan Diaz worked in the system of the Spanish “Sevilla”.
