KHL and FONBET celebrate ten years of partnership with several projects

In the season 2026/27, the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) and the bookmaker FONBET celebrate the tenth anniversary of cooperation. The celebration will be held under the slogan “10 years on the same line”. The parties are organizing several major projects.

The partnership between KHL and FONBET began in 2017. Since the 2022/23 season, the bookmaker has been the league's title partner. In 2025, the cooperation was extended until the end of the season-2027/28. During this time, the partnership has extended to key league events (e.g. FONBET Star Matches) and fan projects. New formats of audience engagement were tested.

In addition, the cooperation affected social actions. They were implemented by the charity program “DobroFon”. In particular, we are talking about the initiatives “head transfer”, “Number of Good” and “Dobromatch”. In total, more than 130 million rubles were allocated for charitable purposes. Funds were transferred, among other things, to support children's and adaptive hockey.

Our first agreement was signed in 2017 and immediately for a period of five years. This contract became a record for Russia in terms of duration between a bookmaker and a sports organization. It became clear that we have a lot of interesting work to do. Since 2022, FONBET has been the title partner of the league. In this championship we will celebrate our tenth anniversary. Our teams are closely cooperating: we have a lot of charitable projects worth tens of millions of rubles. The DobroFON program helps to develop adaptive hockey, performs great social work within the framework of league matches, creative concepts for fans. There is a project FONBET OVERTIME, where fans choose the best heroes of the month from among hockey players. FONBET and I have a lot more planned to popularize the game, said KHL President Alexei Morozov.

Today, the KHL is the most progressive league in Russian sports: its audience and attendance are constantly growing, each season brings new records, and behind the teams and players are real heroes who form the history of Russian hockey. For FONBET to be a part of this development for ten years is a great responsibility and at the same time an opportunity to set new benchmarks for sports partnership. Joint projects with the KHL are not just bright events, but the desire to find modern formats of interaction with fans and create events that become a noticeable part of the sports life of the country. At the same time, it is crucial for us that the development of sport goes along with social responsibility. Therefore, charity and social projects of our DobroFON program occupy a separate place in our partnership. We have been on the same line with the KHL for 10 years, and today this line leads only forward – to new records, new heroes and new large-scale events, said Valentin Golovanov, managing shareholder of FONBET.
