Gatchina center will be pedestrianized on November 8 due to the half marathon

The press service of the administration of the Gatchina district published important information for motorists and participants of the traditional Gatchina half marathon, which will be held on November 8, and thousands of runners will run through the city center.

For motorists

The movement of vehicles from 8 to 15 hours will be closed on the sections of 25 October Avenue (from Chkalovskaya to Roshchinskaya). And also partially on the streets: Khokhlov, Krupskaya, 7th Army, Roshchinskaya, Red. Parking on the half marathon route is prohibited. Vehicles that interfere with mileage safety will be evacuated to parking lots opposite houses 43 and 43/1 on Chekhov Street.

For runners and fans

Independent warm-up of participants will begin at 10:00. The first start at a distance of 10 km is at 10:30. And the awarding of absolute winners (1-3 place) - at 11:15.

The half marathon will open with a solemn ceremony at 11:45. It will be held on the main stage at the crossroads of Sobornnaya and Karl Marx streets.

Exactly at noon will start at a distance of 21.1 km. Awarding of absolute winners (1 – 10th place) – at 13:30 on the main stage.
