France Football named the best young footballer of the season 2025/26

According to France Football, Spain and Barcelona striker Lamine Yamal won the Cop Trophy, which is awarded to the best young player of the 2025/26 season, the ceremony takes place in London.

Last season, the 19-year-old played 45 matches for Barcelona in various tournaments and scored 24 goals and 18 assists. Together with the club, he won the Spanish championship and the Super Cup of the country, and also reached the quarterfinals of the Champions League.

As part of the Spanish national team, Yamal became the winner of the World Cup, where he played seven matches and scored one goal. The award was his third in a row, and he remains the only player in history to have won the nomination at least twice.
