The athlete competed in the weight category up to 51 kg. He spent several fights on the way to the semifinals and made it to the medal round, following which he became the bronze medalist of the competition.
It should be noted that the Kalmyk athlete representing Buryatia, Damdin Mandzhiev, also performed well in the weight category up to 110 kg and won a bronze medal.
