The Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports of the Chuvash Republic will develop a strategy for the development of the Chuvash national struggle “kereshu” until 2030. This was reported by Acting Minister Tatiana Ryabinina following the meeting chaired by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic Vasily Petrov.
At the meeting, a comprehensive action plan for the implementation of the Address of the Head of Chuvashia Oleg Nikolaev to the State Council for 2027 was considered. The key area of work is the systemic development of kereshu. The strategy will provide for the annual holding of championships and championships of the republic, including municipal stages within the framework of the national holiday "Akatuy", as well as the continuation of work on the creation of the All-Russian Kereshu Federation.
In addition, by the end of the first quarter of 2027, the Ministry of Sport of Chuvashia will prepare the concept of holding the III World Games in national martial arts, the program of which will include an international tournament in Chuvash wrestling.
