In the Stavropol region appear “smart” objects

All conditions for physical education and sports have been created at the new facility: the necessary equipment has been installed, a zone for game sports has been provided. The simulators are equipped with QR codes, scanning which you can learn how to perform certain exercises correctly.

The mini-stadion has already become in demand among adherents of an active lifestyle of all ages: from schoolchildren to representatives of the older generation. Residents of Barsukovskaya now have the opportunity to play sports near home, spend time with benefit, improve health and achieve new results.

I thank the Minister of Physical Culture and Sports of the Stavropol Territory Veronik Taidakov for his support and attention to the development of the sports infrastructure of our district. I am sure that this site will not be empty for a long time and will become another place of attraction for the residents of Barsukovskaya, said Oleg Borzov, head of the Kochubeyevsky district.

On behalf of the Governor of the region Vladimir Vladimirov, in order to increase the level of satisfaction of residents of the region with conditions for physical education and sports, the industry ministry is implementing a set of measures to strengthen and expand the sports infrastructure of Stavropol. The work is carried out within the framework of the state program of the Stavropol Territory “Development of physical culture and sports”.

In total, four “smart” sports grounds will be opened in Stavropol this year. Two of them – in the Kochubeyevsky and Trunovsky districts, already accept lovers of a healthy lifestyle, two more – in the Krasnogvardeysky and Soviet districts, as they say, “at a low start” – will be commissioned in the near future. For these purposes, the federal and regional budgets provide an amount of 48 million rubles.

In addition, in 2026, a modular sports pool is being built in Stavropol, the reconstruction of the Svetlograd City Stadium in the Petrovsky District, the overhaul of the Leader sports complex in the Grachevsky District and the Central Stadium in Pyatigorsk.

It also provides for the capital construction of a sports complex for tennis and padel tennis in Pyatigorsk, and equipping eight facilities with sports and technological equipment for testing the GTO complex (Apanasenkovsky, Georgievsky, Kochubeyevsky, Krasnogvardeysky, Kursk, Mineralovodsky, Petrovsky, Shpakovsky districts).

Residents of Stavropol are actively involved in physical culture and sports, but we feel a lack of sports facilities. We are trying to repair existing facilities, build new sites. In order to systematically develop and move forward, we need modern facilities, said Veronika Taidakova, Minister of Physical Culture and Sports of the Stavropol Territory.

According to the relevant department, 5214 sports facilities operate in the Stavropol region, including 40 stadiums, 1253 sports halls, 137 swimming pools, 2923 flat structures. At all designed and under construction sports facilities of the region on behalf of the Governor of the region provided for the creation of conditions of unhindered access for people with disabilities and other limited mobility groups.

Active construction and reconstruction of sports facilities contribute to a significant increase in the number of residents of the region, systematically engaged in physical culture and sports. According to the regional profile ministry, more than 1.6 million, or 62.6 percent of the population, are involved in regular physical culture and sports.

- Regular physical culture and sports are a universal mechanism for preserving and strengthening health, affecting the level of physical fitness and efficiency of the population, and especially the younger generation, said Veronika Taidakova.

The state program of the Stavropol Territory “Development of physical culture and sports” includes such events as “Development of physical culture and sports, promotion of a healthy lifestyle”, “Preparation of the sports reserve and sports teams of the Stavropol Territory in sports, including among the disabled and persons with disabilities” and is aimed at achieving the national development goal of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2030 – preserving the population, strengthening health, improving the well-being of people, supporting the family.

To achieve goals in the field of physical culture and sports, the program defines goals and indicators: creating conditions that allow the population of the Stavropol Territory to systematically engage in physical culture and sports and lead a healthy lifestyle; achieving the highest sports results by athletes of the Stavropol Territory; creating conditions that ensure the possibility of conducting military sports training of citizens.

For the implementation of the state program of the Stavropol Territory “Development of Physical Culture and Sports” in 2025, more than 1.7 billion rubles were allocated from the federal budget and the budget of the Stavropol Territory. This year, funding has been increased to 2.5 billion rubles.

These funds go, among other things, to the payment of scholarships of the governor of the region to hundreds of the best young athletes of Stavropol; to awards for achievements in the field of physical culture and sports; to the payment of monetary remuneration to persons who received a departmental award – the Honorary Badge “Sport Glory of Stavropol”; to additional monthly cash maintenance and subsidies for the construction (purchase) of housing for athletes and their coaches, provided for by the Law of the Stavropol Territory “On Measures of Social Support for Athletes and Coaches”; to conduct sports events within the calendar plan; to finance non-profit organizations.
