Representatives of Kalmykia spoke at the World Championships in traditional bow shooting

From October 30 to November 5, the World Championship in traditional archery was held in South Korean Ulsan. As part of the Russian national team, it was attended by two athletes from Kalmykia – Sanal Ochirov and Lyudmila Kurneeva, representing the regional public organization “Union of Youth and Veterans on Archery”.

According to the results of the competition, the Russian team took the second place in the discipline “Hungarian target” at a distance of 90 meters. In its composition, in addition to Sanal Ochirov, Shanenberg Munkuev, Oleg Tsybikzhapov, Magomedarif Murzaev and Gafur Rahmangulov, representing the Trans-Baikal Territory, Buryatia, Dagestan and Bashkortostan, acted.

All members of this team in April 2026 came to Kalmykia, where the qualifying competitions for the World Nomad Games were held.
