The fifth season of “League of the brave” started in Belarus

In Belarus, the next, fifth season of the team competitions of young wrestlers “League of the brave” has begun. Belta reports.

The first way to the final was started by boys and girls of the Brest region, then qualifying competitions were held in Minsk and Vitebsk regions, as well as in Minsk. Next week, regional qualifying tournaments will be held in Grodno, Mogilev and Gomel regions. After the completion of the qualifying competitions, match meetings will be held for reaching the final stage. In addition to Belarusian wrestlers, teams from Russia will take part in the tournament.

The competitions, organized by the Presidential Sports Club and the Belarusian Wrestling Federation, are attended by boys and girls under the age of 15 who are engaged in wrestling on a permanent basis. All teams consist of ten young representatives of each type of wrestling - Greco-Roman, freestyle and women's (one in each weight category). It is planned that the decisive meetings for the awards of the fifth season will take place at the end of January 2027.

“League of the brave” has already become a hallmark of children’s and youth sports and has received the recognition of experts. In November 2025, the project was awarded the gold award of the first national award in the field of sports marketing “PRO sport” in the nomination “Best project for working with a young audience”.

In the previous season, the winner was the team of the Minsk region. Before that, the first two were young wrestlers from Moscow, one title for the team of the Mogilev region.
