The Portuguese Football Federation has published a list of players called to the national team to participate in the matches of the League of Nations. This list includes Cristiano Ronaldo, who now stands for the Saudi “al-Nasr”.
Earlier, the forward represented Portugal at the world championship in the United States, Canada and Mexico, where the team dropped out of the fight for the trophy already in the 1/8 finals, losing to the Spaniards with a score of 0: 1. After this tournament, Ronaldo announced the end of his career in the national team, but did not completely rule out the possibility of returning to the field in the form of a national team.
In the coming off-season, the Portuguese will play against Wales (24 September), Norway (27 September and 4 October) and Denmark (1 October).
41-year-old Ronaldo is the winner of gold medals of the European Championship 2016. He holds the national team records for the number of meetings held (233) and goals scored (146).
