Three Smolensk teams reached the final of all-Russian competitions in sports programming

Three of the strongest teams of the Smolensk region in sports programming passed the qualifying stage and received the right to represent the region at the all-Russian level. The final of the competition, where Smolensk will fight for the title of the best coders of the country, will be held from 18 to 23 October in Krasnoyarsk.

The qualifying tests demonstrated a high level of training of young IT specialists of the Smolensk region:

The team of garbage collectors scored an impressive 195 points, securing a place in the final of the Russian Championship.

The team “SOTA and Cube” showed a result of 176 points and won a ticket to the final of the Russian Championship. The national team of the Smolensk region from the Lyceum named after Kirill and Methodius also successfully overcame the qualification barrier and reached the final with a score of 135 points.

An important result of the successful performance will be the official recognition of the sports talent of the children. All members of the finalist teams will be awarded sports ranks. This decision highlights the status of sports programming as a full-fledged discipline that requires not only knowledge of algorithms, but also high concentration, stress resistance and speed of thinking.

Krasnoyarsk is not the first time hosting the main competitions of young programmers in Russia. Recall that in June 2026, the Smolensk team became the winner of the Yenisei Cup.
