In Buryatia will be held the International tournament on Buryaad Shuud Tennis

On October 3, in the physical culture and health complex of the village of Ivolginsk, Ivolginsk district of Buryatia, an open international tournament in Buryaad Shuud Tennis will be held.

Competitions will be held in three categories: team, single and double. In team competitions (drawing up to two points) a mixed pair - a man and a woman - participates. Couples competitions among veterans are also planned: for women the age threshold is 60 years and older, for men - 70 years and older.

Athletes will compete for the prizes “Shuud – Ivalgyn tennis” and “Shuud – Storm of the Orioles”.

The main referee of the tournament is Nikolai Dambaev. All participants must perform in sports uniform.

The tournament is included in the calendar plan of the Buryaad Shuud Tennis Federation of the Republic of Buryatia for 2026.

Buryaad Shuud Tennis (translated as “lightning tennis”) is a sport that originated in the Republic of Buryatia in the 1960-1970s. This is an adapted version of table tennis: the outcome of the match is decided by one decisive point, and the competitions are held according to the Olympic system - the loser is eliminated. The dynamism and unpredictability of the game make Buryaad Shuud Tennis especially spectacular, and today this sport is gaining popularity in the Far East.
