In Gomel honored the world champion in freestyle wrestling Arina Demchenko

Pupil of Gomel SDUSHORE No1 BFSO Dynamo Arina Demchenko won a sensational victory at the youth world championship in freestyle wrestling. The place of her triumph was the American Las Vegas, where the competitions took place, writes sb.by.

In her weight category up to 57 kg, Arina did not leave her rivals a single chance. In four matches of the tournament, she scored a total of 33 points, without giving a single point on the carpet. And in the final confidently won against a competitor from Sweden with a score of 6: 0.

- The victory became a landmark for the whole country, the Department of Information and Public Relations of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee noted. Arina Demchenko became the first Belarusian athlete in history to win gold at the World Youth Wrestling Championship.

The honoring of the talented athlete took place in the Gomel regional organizational structure of BFSO “Dynamo”. With an outstanding achievement, the athlete was congratulated by Acting Deputy Chairman of the Gomel JFO BFSO Dynamo Dmitry Shaidarov and Director of SDUSHOR No1 Sergey Bortnovsky.
