In Penza, about 100 motorcycle racers will compete for the Cup of the head of the city

On September 26, Penza will host all-Russian competitions in motocross and supercross for the Cup of the head of the city. Athletes and spectators will be hosted by the Sura Motorport. About the upcoming competitions said the head of Penza Oleg Denisov.

Participants will perform in several classes at once. For the victory will compete experienced athletes on motorcycles class 250 cc. cm, juniors and adult riders in classes 125 and 85 cc. cm, as well as young motocrossers from 10 years on the technique of 65 cc. cm.

The program also includes the Amateurs class for athletes over 18 years old. This category was first introduced at competitions in 2025.

According to Oleg Denisov, about 100 athletes are expected to participate. Motorcyclists from Moscow, Leningrad, Novgorod, Tambov, Saratov, Chelyabinsk, Samara, Krasnodar, Sverdlovsk, Belgorod and Ulyanovsk regions, as well as Tatarstan, Mordovia and Udmurtia are planning to come to Penza. Among the declared participants are veterans of motorsport.

For the competition prepared and the track of the motodrome "Sura". This year, the ski jumps were upgraded, so that the jumps of athletes should become longer. Penzavtodor prepared the track, the stands were also updated.

In addition, the head of the city instructed the administration of the Railway District to put in order the access roads – remove garbage and mow down the grass. Parking for visitors is planned to be sprinkled with gravel.

The competition will take place on September 26. The first races will begin at 10:00, the official opening is scheduled for 12:00. Entrance for spectators will be free.
