President of the National Olympic Committee Viktor Lukashenko congratulated Belarusian sambists on the awards of the World Cup in Uzbekistan. This was reported in the press service of the NOC, writes sb.by.

At the planetary forum in Tashkent, Belarusians won 11 awards (2 gold, 3 silver, 6 bronze). The world champions were Anfisa Kopaeva and Maria Kondratieva. In the overall medal standings, our team took fourth place among hundreds of countries.

The medals won at the main start of the season demonstrate professionalism, skill, strength of spirit and high world level in the face of serious competition. The national sambo school is rightfully considered one of the strongest on the planet and thanks to experienced mentors educates talented and purposeful athletes who adequately protect the colors of the Belarusian flag at competitions of the highest rank.
