Mark Zuckerberg presented at the conference for developers of Meta Connect new VR glasses Meta VR Glasses (Meta recognized as extremist and banned in Russia). They will sell for $1,299. Mr. Zuckerberg also presented the gadget Muse Charm, designed specifically for working with artificial intelligence (AI).

As CNBC notes, the new VR glasses are smaller and thinner than the company’s previous VR headsets from the Quest line, but more expensive – the latest version of the Quest 3S, released in 2024, cost $ 299. The new glasses will go on sale in spring 2027.

Muse Charm is a small cube with smoothed corners and a screen. It is built into the company’s personal AI agent Muse AI. “We’ve packed a lot of technology into this kid,” Zuckerberg said. The device will allow people to work with an AI agent simply by talking to Muse Charm, he said, "without having to unlock a smartphone or open an app." Mr. Zuckerberg said that the gadget requires the latest improvements and will go on sale by December. He did not name the price of the Muse Charm.

According to Reuters, the new gadget reflects the ongoing search by Silicon Valley companies for a device that could become a successor to the smartphone. Among such options, VR glasses and special gadgets for AI have already been considered - such are being developed, for example, by OpenAI.

The third package of measures to combat cyber fraud (Anti-Traffic 3.0) proposes to prohibit the resale of identification modules already provided to the subscriber under a mobile communication contract with the allocation of a number. This follows from the draft amendments of the Ministry of Digital Affairs to the law “On Communications” and certain legislative acts, which were familiarized with “Vedomosti”. The changes should come into force from March 1, 2026.
