The work “Four Stops” directed by Elizaveta Khlomova from Russia received the Grand Prix of the XXIX International Animation Film Festival “Animaevka”, which was held in Mogilev from September 30 to October 2, sb.by reports.

- My film tells the story of the deaf, and the main dialogue within the plot is in sign language. We tried to make it real, alive, home. The meaning is simple: people are different, but at the same time, everyone has very close and understandable problems and difficulties in life - with school, family, growing up. Whether you are deaf or hearing, you go through the same situations. The main message is not to be afraid to be yourself, always to be brave and free.
Production of the film took four years - preparation, shooting, editing, voice acting. And Elizaveta Khlomova is glad that the works were noticed and celebrated at the festival:
- Victory is always expected and unexpected. I am very glad that I received the award, and I am grateful to the festival, the jury, the city. For the author's film festival - the main way to communicate with the audience, because such films will not be found at the box office or on television. It is great that Animaevka has existed for so long, I wish it further prosperity and many years.
Chairman of the jury of the animated film competition, animator and director, Honored Artist of Belarus Igor Volchek emphasized that Animaevka in Mogilev is a wonderful event for viewers and participants:
- The number of films submitted for the competition is amazing, and all the works submitted are very strong. Choosing 92 films out of 1962 and then 14 of the best is a serious responsibility. But the main thing is that the creativity of the participants is noticed and noted. The festival is evolving, let it continue. Animaevka helps to raise a new generation, for the sake of which we live.
Almost 2 thousand applications from 99 countries of the world were submitted for participation in the Animaevka festival this year. By tradition, the competition selected the best animated films, works of children's animated creativity, children's fine and decorative and applied creativity. For the first time, the festival was attended by authors from 11 countries, including Kenya, Nepal, Senegal and Yemen.
