The Central Bank challenged in the court of the EU restrictions on the recognition of court decisions of Russia

وقال البنك المركزي إنهم يحاولون الطعن في المادة 1(28) من لائحة المجلس رقم 2026/1848 المؤرخة 23 تموز/يوليه 2026. It gives the courts of members of the bloc the right to prohibit Russian entities from applying for recognition and enforcement of decisions of Russian courts in any jurisdiction.

The measures affect the protection of the rights of the Bank of Russia outside the EU and include the application of financial sanctions for violation of injunctions. The CBR believes that the disputed provisions violate the principles of access to justice, legal certainty and immunity of central banks. Furthermore, the prohibition mechanism in all jurisdictions is characterized as extraterritorial and therefore unlawful.
