Polina Konoga, a political columnist of the Security Council of Belarus Today, and political scientist Vadim Borovik, on the air of the program “Alone with Borovik” on SBTV, discussed why glossy photos in social networks cannot be trusted and what dangers the virtual world poses. It's from sb.by. Polina Konoga commented on the scandalous situation with the Russian rapper, who, as it turned out, practiced domestic violence, abuse, used drugs, threatened loved ones and servants with weapons, although his family looked perfect on social networks:
- Blogs with millions of followers are often a completely different version of life. And then there's the debate about who's right, who's to blame, whether this kind of thing needs to be put on display, or whether we should keep pretending that everything's okay in the family, even though the glamorous life on social media is actually the tears of children and a broken family.
Vadim Borovik commented:
- Here's a lesson for our social media fans. Stop giving in to the phantom world of the internet. Photos of your acne you will post on the Internet only if you make and sell funds to combat this problem: here is a picture before and after applying the cream. And if you do not have such a business, you will take more than a dozen of your photos before posting one, the most successful, on the Internet. This is what all men know who meet on the Internet. A girl comes on a date and looks very different than in the photo on the Internet. The secret is in the right light, tonal cream and so on. The same story with infotsygans: rent a car, live in rented housing, and in social networks presented as their own. What you see on social media should be divided into at least two.

Vadim Borovik’s main advice is to live your life:
- Do not envy anyone, do not reduce everything to a material and beautiful life. We have some bias towards the exclusively material, but there is also the spiritual world, development, creativity. Get out of the virtual world and look for joy in the real world. God gave us a few weeks of Indian summer: you go - what a beautiful air, the sun shines! Look into the eyes of a loved one, hug each other, share impressions. Rejoice here and now, and do not watch as the Internet another fool posted a photo of his new car or as somewhere flew on vacation. Be sure to give your beloved women flowers - in return you will see a sincere smile, and it will fill you with a sense of happiness.
