Kaluga residents are advised not to work on Dmitri day

Today the Orthodox Kalugans celebrate (the day of memory of the Great Martyr Dimitry of Thessaloniki). It was recommended to hold it in prayer, not to quarrel or swear.

According to the national calendar, the Great Autumn or Dmitri Day was celebrated.

Tips for the day said it was worth postponing construction and any hard physical labor, including house cleaning, haircuts and making deals. Also, in order not to attract misfortune, it was not worth sewing or knitting, as well as refusing to ask for help and lift from the ground what was lost.

On this day in the central part of Russia, “winter climbs on the weave”, the boundary between autumn and winter lay. If the weather is cold and snow falls, then late and cold will be winter, if the day was warm - winter will be loose and humid.

Earlier, “MK in Kaluga” wrote that Kaluga residents celebrate Dimitriev’s parental Saturday.
